Hiking in Mayrhofen
Mayrhofen is a real hiking paradise. The entire Zillertal offers more than 1000 km of hiking trails, but especially in Mayrhofen you can choose from a variety of routes and tours. Do you want a nice walk in the valley that is not too strenuous and can be combined with a stop for refreshments? Would you like to head up to the mountain peaks over 2000 meters high and enjoy boundless freedom? Everything is possible here in the Zillertal. A real highlight is the Zillertal Alps High Mountain Nature Park to the south of Mayrhofen. On 380 square meters you will discover the originality of the Alps - 100% nature! In addition to the normal hiking trails, there are special themed trails around Mayrhofen.
Biking
Would you like to explore the mountains and valley on two wheels? An 800 km network of cycle paths awaits you throughout the Zillertal, with both easy tours and challenging mountain stages. For example, you can venture out on the great Penken panoramic tour, where you can cycle up to 2000 meters in altitude and enjoy great descents. Do you want to avoid steep climbs but still want to get up high? No problem, the lifts of the Penkenbahn will take you to the start of the Penken panoramic tour, where you are always at an altitude of over 1800 meters and can enjoy breathtaking views.
Our tip for easier cycle routes is the Zillertal Cycle Path, which starts in Mayrhofen and leads north for 31 kilometers, with beautiful stopovers in Zell am Ziller, Kaltenbach or Uderns.
Golfing in the Alps of Zillertal
Are you ready for picturesque fairways, a fantastic island green, fruit groves, pond landscapes and a fantastic Alpine backdrop? From our Apparthotel, you can reach the first and only golf course in the Zillertal in just 20 minutes.
The golf course in Uderns was opened in 2014 and offers an 18-hole championship course with all the comforts. Beginners can improve their skills in the short game area or the driving range, while advanced golfers can work on their handicap. The clubhouse or the adjacent Genusswerkstatt restaurant provide refreshments after long days on the golf course.

Experience Mayrhofen from above! The three via ferratas Zimmereben, Huterlaner and Pfeilspitzeben reward you with a magnificent view over Mayrhofen. From challenging climbing routes to via ferratas that are also suitable for children - there's something for everyone!
The Zillertal is also well known for rope climbing and bouldering. The mountaineering village of Ginzling in particular offers a limitless range of climbing routes for beginners and advanced climbers amidst breathtaking mountain landscapes.
